Exhausted

Last night I definitely hit the wall. Jen and Shaun got released from the hospital and came back to our house to wait for LA traffic to die down a bit. Our house felt like a little nursery. Two little babies and Jocelyn. Abby felt so big (at 8 pounds) compared to itty bitty Madilyn. It was great to see them both together. We had dinner together. Well somewhat together there were 6 plates on the table together but no one actually could sit down at the same time to eat together. Abby would cry and then Madilyn would startle and then Jocelyn would "have a talk" with them to settle them down. I wonder if all of our dinners here on out will be like that. When I went to sleep last night I was beat. I realized how exhausted I was, totally exhausted. All I could think about was how in a few years we will treasure this week and think back on how amazing it was to have such sweet memories.

The New Babies

Welcome Madilyn!!!

Baby Madilyn decided to come early!!!! Jen and Shaun came up to visit us for a couple days while they were on spring break. We thought that this might be the last visit for a little bit since Jen's baby was due April 23rd. Little did we know.... At about 10 pm Jen's water broke THREE WEEKS EARLY!!!! AND they were here not at home! And Jocelyn was with them!!! Yikes! Thank goodness my mom decide at the last minute to come up for a visit. So Jen and Shaun rushed off to the hospital (and good thing they rushed). Baby Madilyn was born just 4 hours later at 2:27 AM. She is just precious at 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19 inches. Jen and Shaun are doing well. Meanwhile our house is a bit chaotic! I'm definitely not ready for two. Jocelyn and Abby at the same time (though fun) is a bit too much to handle.
